VMWare-Image (Ubuntu 8.04 LTS) Networkproblem

Man freut sich, dass man eine fertige Ubuntu 8.04 LTS – VMWare-Image unter http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/cat/0?k=ubuntu+8.04+LTS&c=0 heruntergeladen und zum Laufen gekriegt hat. In meinem Fall habe ich leider die Netzwerkverbindung nicht zu Stande bekommen.

Um die Netzwerkverbindung zum Laufen zu bekommen, habe ich folgende Schritte unternommen:

installiere VMWare-Tool
sudo rm -rf /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
sudo reboot

Openoffice-Programm bietet von Haus aus leider keine Collaborationsmöglichkeit.

Mit dem Openoffice-Plugin „Teamdrive“ kann man gemeinsam an ein Dokument übers Internet arbeiten. Als Server bietet Teamdrive-Unternehmen einen eigenen Webdav-Server an, oder man kann auch seinen eigenen Webdav-Server betreiben.

Dieses Plugin gibt sowohl kostenlose als auch Premium-Software.
